چکیده
Purpose. To develop techniques for estimating the pit wall stability in terms of occurring a zone heavily jointed rock mass during ore mining at Akzhal deposit (Kazakhstan), to work out measures strengthen opening and verify effectiveness developed measures. Methodology. The finite element analysis stress-strain state is implemented on basis elastic-plastic model generalized Hoek-Brown failure criterion. quality was assessed using RMR GSI rating classifications. This made it possible simulate intense fracturing by changing characteristics surface. shear strength reduction procedure used determine safety factor quarry wall. Findings. strain distributions forming have been obtained polymetallic (Kazakhstan). case creating rocks area tectonic fault considered. determined under conditions increased fracturing, as well after carrying with hardening solution. Originality. effect jointness demonstrated. A method consistent evaluation proposed considering change properties due natural factors artificial reinforcement. It shown that joint surface injection reduces strains sliding zone. Practical value. predicted formation geological deposit. possibility testing strengthening based mathematical modeling shown.

Mathematical Modeling of Intravascular Blood Coagulation under Wall Shear Stress
Increased shear stress such as observed at local stenosis may cause drastic changes in the permeability of the vessel wall to procoagulants and thus initiate intravascular blood coagulation. In this paper we suggest a mathematical model to investigate how shear stress-induced permeability influences the thrombogenic potential of atherosclerotic plaques. Numerical analysis of the model reveals t...
متن کاملMathematical Modeling of Hemoglobin Release under Hypotonic Conditions
Mathematical model is developed to estimate hemoglobin release under hypotonic conditions at microscopic level. The phenomenon of hemoglobin (Hb) release depends on: 1) the dynamics of repeated opening of hemolytic holes and 2) the radial fluctuations of lipid membrane. Both processes are sensitive to the rate of ionic strength decrease within the surrounding medium. Influence of the rate of io...
متن کاملMathematical Modeling of Cell Volume Alterations under Different Osmotic Conditions
Abstract—Cell volume, together with membrane potential and intracellular hydrogen ion concentration, is an essential biophysical parameter for normal cellular activity. Cell volumes can be altered by osmotically active compounds and extracellular tonicity. In this study, a simple mathematical model of osmotically induced cell swelling and shrinking is presented. Emphasis is given to water diffu...
متن کاملOn the formation of radiation fogs under heavily polluted conditions
We have studied the effect of gaseous pollutants on fog droplet growth in heavily polluted air using a model that describes time-dependent sulfate production in the liquid phase and thermodynamical equilibrium between the droplets and the gas phase. Our research indicates that the oxidation of SO2 to sulfate has a significant effect on fog droplet growth especially when hygroscopic trace gases,...
متن کاملthe effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)
cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
